Swim
Comments: Not a swimmer. totally first Triathlon too. a bit of panic at the start. What would you do differently?: have more experience. control nerves at start. Was a very short distance so, when i finally calmed down it was over Transition 1
Comments: Again the swim finish and the transition area were 300 yards or so apart. It was ok though. I could plan out my transition during the traveling. into shoes quickly. overall very good What would you do differently?: practice run starting with no shoes and putting shoes on while they are clipped on. Bike
Comments: Was burning it, Loved the bike portion was comfortable and strong. Finally my nerves calmed down and I was ready to make up for my slow swim. My chain came off of my bike TWICE. both times required dismount and placement. Never had it happen before today. Had to pass a group a total of three times. What would you do differently?: make sure bike is in better condition. Transition 2
Comments: my buddy who was also a first time racer managed to get a 1:15 time on this transition. that was because he didn't change shoes. I was pleased with this transition. What would you do differently?: Definetly a lot to learn about speedy transitions. Run
Comments: still pretty slow. I think i backed off a lot when i knew i would easily beat my buddy. What would you do differently?: run much harder....I was too comfortable Post race

camped overnight in father's camper in park where the race was. Worked out awesome. before bed, checked tire pressure and had most stuff ready. morning of:
5:45 woke up and shower
6:00 breakfast prayer time
6:30 loaded up and dropped off at transition area
7:00 checked in set up transition and make prerace meeting
7:30 prerace meeting and invocation
7:50 run to transition for goggles and swimcap
8:02 begin 5sec interval sprint start
