Event warmup:

stretched out for 10 minutes at the start line
Run
  • 1h 13m 37s
  • 7 miles
  • 10m 31s  min/mile
Comments:

good run, but too many runners for the size of the streets, the entire time was trying to find a path inbetween them to run. Many walkers intermixed with runners
What would you do differently?:

I would have registered as a faster runner (start was organized by anticipated finish time), because for the first 5 miles I was just passing people trying to find a place to run. Never got into a good rhythm, it was speed up/slow down almost all the way, except for last 2 miles, finally there was some room.
Post race
Warm down:

walked around trying to find my family, the end of the race was organized as to shuffle the runners through, families could not be in the race finish area, took me 30 minutes to find my wife and kids and that was only cause I had my cell phone with me.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

defenitely the heat. I did not feel like I got too dehydrated or too hot, but due to preveious experiences with runs in hot weather I knew my body's limit.
