Run
Comments: My wife had a tough time with this course. She's run plenty of 5k races and this was by far her toughest. When she came back I wasn't sure if I would need to run the second run. What would you do differently?: Train together on hills. LOTS more hill training. Transition 1
Comments: Relay transition are EASY! I was fully geared when my wife got to T1 and I took the timing chip and ran off. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: I found the course pretty tough since there were lots of climbs that I wasn't use to. It was a great training ride for me but I went all out in order to make up as much time as I could. I was hoping to come in under 1 hour but just didn't have enough. What would you do differently?: Train more. Especially on bigger climbs. I haven't ridden outside much and need to do more. Transition 2
Comments: Transition was easy again. Wife took the chip and took off. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Doesn't get much easier. Run
Comments: Wife had an even tougher time and walked portions of the course. Saw her come in and could tell that she was struggling but still finished strong. I am very proud of her because I know she was intimitaded by the tri crowd. What would you do differently?: Train hlls LOTS more! Post race
Warm down: Met MistressK and her husband, had some subs, apple, banana and relaxed by the pond. Checked out the vendors and took off to pick up our son. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat and not enough training. Event comments: Happy that I didn't have to pay for parking! Overall course was challenging but do-able. First race of teh season and first relay with my wife. We are happy that we were able to get it done together. Last updated: 2012-01-04 12:00 AM

Woke up early due to being excited for the first "race" of the season. My wife and I decided to do the relay together. She would run and I would bike.
We never checked out this course so we got there jogged around and saw HILLS! Lots of rolling hills. We got scared and ran back to transition to calm down.
