Comments:

My mental state the last few days leading up to this race has been pretty bad. Battling some demons that won't seem to go away. I was hoping for a 10 minute mile, but realized that I hadn't slept more than a total of 6 hours in the last 3 days and that the temp was the coldest I had run in, the was not going to be in the cards.

This was the first race I have ever done that I didn't have any support on. It's really strange to go to a race where you don't know anyone.
What would you do differently?:

Obviously, get more sleep! I suppose I should have watched my pace for the 1st mile. That usually is my downfall.
