Run
Comments: This was my redemption race for the horriblness that was USA RNR. I think my training peaked for that race, and I didn't train as hard during the four weeks between those races, so I wasn't expecting a stellar performance. I did think I'd closer to four hours, but oh well. I went out WAY too fast, but, of course, I didn't know it was too fast until about the halfway point :) What would you do differently?: Not go out so fast Post race
Warm down: Walked, drank a lot of champagne. What limited your ability to perform faster: Peaked too early? Didn't put in enough long runs Event comments: Great low key marathon! The RD - Jay Wind - could not be nicer. The online registration was closed by the time I wanted to register, but I called him and he called me back and told me to just send him a check. No chip, but with around 300 runners it wasn't necessary. Volunteers very nice and helpful. Last updated: 2012-03-23 12:00 AM

Friend Deb picked me up at my parent' house (James at a Bachelor Party out of town, so H and I stayed with my parents in Silver Spring). Drove to the race start with Deb and Erin.
Walked around.. nothing really.
