Swim
Comments: No splits available, i was really looking forward to see how I did on the swim. The water was cold, I got in about 10 minutes before the race to acclimate my body. I was actually in the mix this time instead of being in the back of the pile! I got kicked and punched a few times but I actually enjoy that because it means that I am in the mix. Had to stop a few times to catch my breath but overall I was happy. What would you do differently?: Just need to get faster, but I am getting better each time I do an open water swim. Transition 1
Comments: Need to get faster with getting on my bike after the dismount line. I took way too long in transition but also put on a few items that I wont normally use in other races. What would you do differently?: Normally I am happy with my transition, this time i was not. Need to forget a few items like long sleeve shirt when the races are for real! Bike
Comments: No splits available. Felt good on the bike today, best I have felt riding in a race ever! Love my bike and makes me feel like a competitor. I was only passed once the entire 12 miles. I was happy with this portion of the race. Definitely room to improve though What would you do differently?: Better mount and dismount Transition 2

arrived early, set up transition area. Got my wetsuit on and get mentally prepared!
A little jogging, but my main goal was to get in the COLD water and get acclimated.
