Did about a 1/2 mile warn-up run just to get legs a little loose because I was feeling a little cramp in the calf.

Had a good ride going and was averaging 22 until I hit some head winds at about 12 miles. There's not much I can do about that except just keep a steady cadance in the right gear. I changed the chain on my bike the day before and shouldn't have. I was having trouble with the cassette shifting when I wasn't shifting (probably due to cable tension).
What would you do differently?:

Not change chain the day before or at least ride hard for a few minutes on it (in race type conditions)

Course: Swim course was ok except for the tight spot between a couple of boats that were serving as course markers. Everyone came together and there was a lot of copious groping and crawling all over each other. I could actually taste/smell boat exhaust and fuel in the water (yum!!)
