Run
Comments: Again I ran naked, meaning no iPod, no Garmin. I did not even look at my watch until the 1 mile marker. It said 9:06 and I felt good and felt like I could go faster. Next time I checked watch at mile 2 it said 17:50 and I felt good and decoded to ramp it up a bit. My goal was 45, and anything under would be great. Around mile 3 I knew I was making good time and had a chance to run strong. Kept running in my pace and knew I had a shot for 43ish. A guy tried to out sprint me to the line, but I didn't feel like letting him pass me, so we were in an all out sprint to the line, I won! New PR What would you do differently?: Start to believe that I am faster than I think I am Post race
Warm down: grabbed some water and headed to the car so I could make it to church on time. What limited your ability to perform faster: myself and the belief that I can run an 8 minute pace for extended time. Event comments: Currently I am sitting in the 19th spot in my AG for the race series. I am hoping to stay in the top 20. I have a 10k, a 10 miler and a half marathon left int he series.
