Run
Comments: I walked it with a good friend. I had all intentions to run it but with the recent injury on the left knee the doctor advised me to walk and walk only. So we walked, had a great time, and the race raised $155,000 for breast cancer. Nothing more exciting to see 4300 women walk the streets of Anchorage. Survivors, people walking in memory of others, as well as just people walking for the cure. The lady who won the race ran the 5 mile in under 28 min and 45 sec. What would you do differently?: Nothing - except to be in better condition with the knee. Took it easy on the knee. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some fruit and a bottle of water. Then went and had breakfast. What limited your ability to perform faster: My friend that I walked with is just getting in shape so she slowed down toward the 3 mile mark - wasn't going to leave her behind. Also would have run it faster if I could have but that would be against doctors orders. Last updated: 2006-06-12 12:00 AM

Had breakfast of three granola bars at different parts of the morning, walked around and got out picture taken with our company team.
Walked around, saw different vendors both.
