Comments:

This was the first in a series of 3 races being held at midnight at local trails. It has been raining for about a month straight and it was a guaranteed mudfest. I set off with a group of women that kept a decent pace and stayed there. I haven't been running in at least 2 weeks so I wasn't sure how this would turn out.

The trails were muddy but not as bad as I had originally thought. I was actually hoping for a chance to release my inner child and run through the mud and muck without abandon (and I did get that chance a couple of times) and fell accordingly a few times. We had one creek crossing that was fun.

I can't wait for the next one!
What would you do differently?:

Hmmm, let's see----run more beforehand!
