Swim
Comments: Good swim. Did not push the opening 200. But on the way in, Sighting was a little difficult, cause of the sun. I used the breast strokers and White caps as a guide, until I picked up the double bouy to swim thru. What would you do differently?: I bettered my time from 2005 by 0:01 Swim more drills in the pool. Lake swimming is good for the distance and non stop training, but speed drill will be the off season focus... Transition 1
Comments: overall good. What would you do differently?: Dry off the feet a little more. Perhaps get some tips on how to do it faster when putting on socks. Bike
Comments: I like this course. Pushed the first two hills very hard. Though I was done for, but I fell into a good cadence on all the flats, and passed many on the hills. From the second turn around to the end, I was passed only 3 times. I must have passed 10-15. What would you do differently?: train a little more on small incline hills. Felt like the last small incline, I got out of Aero too early.. Transition 2
Comments: Good transition. Felt faster than, cause I had to take off left sock and put back on.... What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: First two hills, I felt sluggish. But during the flats, I got into a good groove! ended very stong. I think my last mile was under 7:40 What would you do differently?: nothing, Post race
Warm down: talked to Mike and Markus. Watched some other come across the line. I estimate I had 15 black and white with vanilla filling cookies (shop rite scrunchies) bagel, orange, 1/2 bananna. 5 cups of Gatorade mix from the big bins.... Check the posted scores. Initial results had my overall place at 242. I was really excited about that. The gossip was that the 35-39 age group was a very competitive group this year. MOP!!!! Yeah!!!! Event comments: will do this race again next year!!!! Last updated: 2006-06-19 12:00 AM

Up at 5:00. Small bowl of Cheerios and Bananna. 6oz of water.
Markus arrived at 5:30 and followed me up to WP. about a 50 min drive. Along the way drank about 4-6oz of water.
Transition setup was a pain. Little space for bike left on the assigned spots. Put up the flag about 3 bikes away from mine. Could not get close to the support pole. Saw a bunch of familiar faces...
I was lucky to use the Bath house to do my #2 then they closed the Bath house because of flooding. (broken toliet i guess) 7:30ish used the port-o-john. Many women complaining cause no TP. Luckly I only had to do a #1. Grabbed wetsuit and final check to Transition, and headed up to the beach.
stretched and listened to Green Day!!!!!
Air temp was still to cool, did not want to be like the other 100+ people freezing, waiting for my wave to get back into the water.
