Swim
Comments: Really struggled after no swimming the past 2-1/2 weeks due to bronchitis. The water was so cold, it was hard to catch my breath. What would you do differently?: SWIM MORE! Transition 1
Comments: Had a really hard time getting my freakin' wetsuit off my arms! But then it came off pretty quickly. What would you do differently?: Practice getting the wetsuit off lol Bike
Comments: Not bad for still hacking up crud from the bronchitis. I'll take it. What would you do differently?: Try to drink a little more. I was really parched by the time I started running. Transition 2
Comments: There was NO room on the rack by the time I got back, so I leaned my bike up on the end of the rack. Run
Comments: Pretty pitiful time, but considering I have been so sick, I'll live with it. The grass and mud slowed me down as well. What would you do differently?: Definitely need to amp up the running now that I seem to be over this crud. Post race
Warm down: Walked through the booths, got our bikes out of transition and loaded them up. What limited your ability to perform faster: Being sick for 2-1/2 weeks prior and not being able to train. Event comments: I would consider this one again, if it weren't for the trail running. Still might anyway. Seems like my age bracket was very tough - I thought I would have placed higher than I did with that time. Still enjoyed it and am glad to get #2 of the season out of the way.
