Pre-race routine:

Woke at 5am, drank a coffee and a bottle of NUUN. Aquaphored everthing, dressed, left hotel at 5:30, parked at 5:40. Race start at 8am, but traffic/parking would be nightmare on the tiny peninsula if arrived after 6. Bottle of gatorade I carried had 3 droppers of creatine in it. I took 3 more droppers and a powerbar gel with caffeine and an Alleve and a few Endurolytes and Anti-Fatigue Caps about 30 minutes before start. Loaded with Race Day Boost 1X each 4 days prior, 2X on Friday.
Event warmup:

Light stretching.

Comments:

Walked approx 0.05m after 5m, 10m, 12m, and a little every mile after that. Water stops would have been spaced too far apart if a warm day. Did not have to refill my bottle any though. Plan was to run a negative split the second 10 miles from the first, then just cruise in the last 6. This plan changed once I realized how bad the hills will be towards the end of the 2nd 10 miles, and how nice the tailwind would be the last 4-5 miles of the race. So I did try to pick it up a little after 10, then take it a little easier 17-20 so I could pick it up again in the home stretch, but the legs were too sore to go any faster the last 5 miles. With the cold windy rain in the last 10 miles, I just wanted the race to be over so I pushed harder than I wanted to, with the next marathon 1 week away. Took another gel every 6 miles, more Enduralytes and Anti-Fatigue caps avery 5 miles, another Alleve at mile 10 and 20.
What would you do differently?:

not run marathon 2 weeks prior, and have one scheduled next week.
Post race
Warm down:

nothing, immediately started freezing in the windy cold rain after stopped runniing.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

sore legs starting around mile 7, hills.

Event comments:

Was freezing after the race, so didn't go way down the beach to get my free lobster roll or 2 Smuttynose beers. Leaving the penninsula took about 25 minutes because heavy traffic.

Course: First 2 miles were into a headwind, but being in the big crowd with mostly haf runners pulled me along. Marathon did 2 loops of the neighborhoods, with some pretty good hills near the end of the loops before the nice downhill/tailwind for last 5 miles.
