Run
Comments: This race is so crowded! I literally didn't start even jogging slowly for a good minute there were so many people. I started in the first 25% of the recreational wave, and I passed a lot of folks on mile 1 - this felt good! I knew the course from previous years, so I could just concentrate on a quick foot turnover and relaxed breathing. By mile 2, I was parched, despite one water stop. By mile 3, I really wanted water. Flew down downhills, so that felt good. Never stopped to walk, even on the uphill at the end (steep!!). Although I really wanted to break 25 minutes, I was happy b/c this was my fastest Cigna race yet. What would you do differently?: Run faster. Post race
Warm down: Water and Powerade. Walking. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Event comments: http://www.coolrunning.com/cigna/ The Fourteenth Annual CIGNA/Elliot Corporate Road Race is a 5K (3.1 mile) race open to corporate teams, individual runners, walkers and wheelchair entrants. Proceeds from the race support Easter Seals New Hampshire, Inc. The race needs one more water station, I think, though I know this isn't typical for such a short race. No national anthem this year (one of favorite parts!). Nice t-shirt, as always. Last updated: 2006-07-25 12:00 AM

Pickup packet, jog back to car and drop off t-shirt; jog back; search for NH Athletic Alliance folks (didn't see anyone!). Drank water, stretched, people-watched.
Light jogging. With 6,000+ people, there really isn't room to do anything else.
