Run
Comments: A very good run overall, I was comfortable the whole race and was very pleased with my new 13.1 PR. This was the first time I ran this race with the new coral start system in place and it was much easier to navigate the crowd when everybody was running close to the same pace. What would you do differently?: Run faster of course. JK. I would have started out much slower in my training back in October and may have avoided my calf injuries. I wish I would have stuck with the 6 to 7 mile base runs and 10 to 11 mile long runs. Instead I worked myself up to 10 to 12 mile 90' runs 3 times a week and that ended up causing my injuries. Post race
Warm down: Papa bar-b-que! All you can eat pork ribs for $9.99 was on the lunch agenda. WHAT? I earned it!! What limited your ability to perform faster: Too much baggage, need to get leaner one of these day! I checked my weight before the race and it was 220.2 and after the race before lunch I was still at 220.2 so I'm guessing I did a better job of hydrating for this race, Event comments: 25,000 runners and 250,000 spectators made for a good race. The crowds were awesome for the Half course. I saw pictures of the full and it looked like they had great crowds all the way thru as well. Last updated: 2015-01-18 12:00 AM

Three base runs of 6 to 7 miles and 1 long run 10-12 miles.
I didn't run as much I would have liked to but after nursing my calves through two separate bouts of tendentious I didn't want to risk any further injuries. I keep my base runs to and hour or less and long runs at 90',
