Swim
Comments: Yup, that swim sucked. I hadn't done any OWS since my last tri 3.5 years ago and I only went to the pool 2 times before this race. Technically, I should have drowned, so I guess the fact that they didn't have to pull me out was a plus. What would you do differently?: Go to a pool and practice swimming. Transition 1
Comments: I knew my swim sucked so I didn't rush the transition. Didn't want to miss anything having not done one in quite a while. What would you do differently?: Eh...this was the least of my problems. Bike
Comments: Hadn't been riding a whole lot either, so this was below average too. I actually rode better than I did the last time I did this race. Rode up every hill and the only time I came off my bike is when I was forced to do so. What would you do differently?: Bring down the tire pressure and a 2nd bottle on the bike. It was warm! Transition 2
Comments: Didn't try to set any speed records here...just wanted to make sure I didn't forget anything and it worked. What would you do differently?: Not much. Run
Comments: Sadly, running is the one thing I have been doing on a somewhat regular basis. I suppose I could have gone harder but I didn't want to blow up and end up walking. I kept moving on the hills and passed a few guys that had to walk. Not my best performance, but I'm not surprised. What would you do differently?: More miles in the legs. Still trying to get back into running form. Being on vacation the week before the race didn't help either. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Last updated: 2015-10-10 12:00 AM

Hardly slept all night, up before 5. Ate some oatmeal loaded up all my stuff and hit the road. Hadn't done a triathlon in 3.5 years, so needed to give myself some time to get oriented.
None.
