Run
Comments: We all started in different areas, so the plan was to meet at mile 4. I met up with Trix, Fit, Jess & Chris at the spot. I ran to the potty and finally got to pee, but standing around waiting for Melissa my legs started to fuss, so I took off. I had my nano on a mix of music, and was singing along and quite happy the entire race. I could feel blisters starting on my feet early mile 3, and knew my feet were gonna be the limiting factor. By mile 16 my nano died, so I was on my own for music. As people would go past me I would hear a few bits of their songs and start singing it. I was just a happy girl out there running. Mile 18 the blister on my right arch popped and OMG that was painful. I could feel the fluid in my sock and the pain of the raw skin was just about unbearable when I would run. I could tolerate it walking, but then the blister on my right heel hurt when I would walk fast. So, I would run a bit, then walk. I was VERY happy that my knee didn't act up today though!! I couldn't WAIT to finish so I could tell Sue!! There were characters all over the parks and lots of people stopping to take pictures. I didn't have my camera, and the lines were pretty long for most of the people. I did stop in MGM (mile 23) to get a picture taken with my phone with Darth Vader and the StormTroopers cuz I knew Ben would LOVE that!! I saw Mike and the kids at mile 18 just leaving Animal Kingdom got some lip stuff and diet coke, Sue was at 20 with diet coke, and Mike/kids were in Epcot just past the fountain and again at the finish line. I wore my Gator shirt, so I got LOTS of "GO GATORS" along the course, which helped perk me up!! Nutrition: I took a gel at 5, 10 and 15. I had cashews at 21 which were fabulous. I had oranges and bananas at the stops along with the most awesome tasting diet coke (THANKS SUE!) at mile 20. Post race
Warm down: Hung out with Mike, Sue and the kids until everyone else finished. This was the first marathon that Mike and the kids have seen me run, and it was awesome to see their smiling faces throughout the course!! It's hard to jockstrap a long event and they and Sue were troopers and always had smiles, cheers and diet coke for me!! :) I've never finished a race feeling awesome. This one I did, until about an hour later. Jess drove us back to the hotel and I was cramping really bad, was crusty with salt, dizzy and nauseated. I slept on the couch for awhile, got a shower, then wanted to come home. Thank God for Trixie! She drove me home (in the car with no gas!), to meet Sue. I threw up what seemed like forever in my driveway, the next thing I know I'm in the back of an ambulance. I woke up about 3 hours later in the ER. Guess my sodium got too low and I was really dehydrated. What limited your ability to perform faster: freakin blisters Last updated: 2006-08-28 12:00 AM

Ate a lil debbie snack cake, drank a diet coke and gatorade. Rode to the race with Jess, Q, Fit and Trix, stood around being silly until it was time to get in our corrals.
Thinking I shoulda gone pee one more time.
