Pre-race routine:

Part of a Powerbar, and a Roctane GU about 20 mins pre-race.
Event warmup:

Stretched while standing in Whole Foods a bit, and then ran out past Hamline (to check on the part under the bridge) and back. Calling that 1.2 miles. Then jogged 2 times to bridge and back from start line to stay warm. Calling that 0.3 miles.

Comments:

Into the wind for the first half, and then HOTTER coming back with the wind. Shows in my splits. Didn't expect 2:59 to be that slow - was hashed coming up that hill from Lexington, and then maybe took it too easy under Hamline. Turned my left ankle a bit (on the outside) at the top of the hill 0.3 miles into the race!
What would you do differently?:

Not much. Could MAYBE have been a bit faster in mile 2.

Warm down:

Just 0.4 back to car as my left ankle was starting to get sore and throb a bit.
