Swim
Comments: I would say I doggie paddled 1/2 the swim (had a hard time attempting breast stroke in wetsuit)...at least it felt like it. I should have freestyled more and talked myself up more to what I know I can do. I just let my mind take over. My goals were to not stop and rest on bouys or kayaks, and to not have to be saved. They should have been to swim more freestyle and swim like I have been swimming in the pool. What would you do differently?: Relax, get through the first part of the swim that is the hardest and realize it gets easier from there. Don't doggie paddle soo much. Use sighting practice in open water like I use in the pool, and concentrate on stroke...would have made my life easier and gotten through it easier. Transition 1
Comments: Eat entire goo! Bike
Comments: I was happy with my bike, my friend let me borrow his road bike and it felt great. What would you do differently?: Push myself a bit harder Transition 2
Run
Comments: Gt off to a slow start, should have taken in more liquid and taken a goo shot prior to running. What would you do differently?: More hydration on run and get some energy from goo. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: I would say some lack of training I took off a couple of weeks at about 3 weeks ago. Event comments: Definately well organized. I thought the volunteers and other racers were awesome all cheering each other on. I will definately do this race again. Last updated: 2007-01-29 12:00 AM
