Comments: I started a little easier this week - plan was to cruise the downhill and then start pushing at about the 5km mark. At the turn I started working a little harder and was able to maintain a solid pace to the turnaround. At the turnaround, the rider behind me had almost caught me and then passed me shortly after the turnaround (she ended up finishing third). The return leg was hard but I felt better this week until the last 5km or so. At this point it was all I could do to just keep moving forward - mainly uphill and some wind so it was painful to the finish line. Managed to catch two riders this week and only passed by one! I finished about as hard as I could - trying to stay in front of the eventual winner - and was absolutely spent at the finish line! Wow! What would you do differently?: Possibly break out the race wheels - the road conditions aren't the best so I'm a little hesitant to break out the race wheels but I'd like to see what I could do with all the race bling. Post race
Warm down: Rode home, about 4km. What limited your ability to perform faster: Still need more time in the saddle - not as powerful as the top riders but steadily getting better. Last updated: 2007-06-07 12:00 AM

Nothing special. Work, supper and then getting ready.
Rode to the course, did the first quarter of the course with some pickups to race pace, spinning between.
