Comments: Felt comfortable the whole time while swimming. I need to work on my technique, my pace is so slow, but overall felt pretty good coming out of the water. Transition 1

Comments: My cycling time was 14 minutes faster than my time on this course 2 years ago. I passed about the same number of people that passed me on the course. What would you do differently?: Train at higher elevations. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Struggled in the first mile as I felt sharp calf cramps. My heart rate was pretty high throughout the race, I think primarily due to the elevation. I walked for a minute and settled my heart rate down and then felt pretty good for the last two miles, no more cramping. Post race

Woke up at 4:00 am, had a piece of toast and cottage cheese. Departed at 4:30 am and arrived at the race @ 5:30. Had a cup of coffee, banana, a yoghurt bar 2 hours prior to start and a Gu 20 minutes before start.
Just 2 minutes swimming in the lake.
