Pre-race routine:

I got up at 4:30. I had oatmeal and eggs for breakfast. I drank about 6 glasses of water.
Event warmup:

Spent the whole time trying to find a bathroom.

I was really worried about the water temp, but it turned out great. My goggles got really foggy and it was hard to see on the last leg when we turned towards the sun.
What would you do differently?:

Find goggles that don't fog up.

Took too much time, but I wasn't in a hurry. I was just so happy to be done with the swim and evreyone was taking pictures. It was great.

Try to hurry.

I felt really good. I could have pushed a little harder, maybe. I was happy I was able to pass a couple of people.
I was able to ride next to Dad, Patty, Jon and Uncle Bob. That was kind of funny.

What would you do differently?:

Maybe keep running through the water stops..pick it up a bit. I think I need to get a watch/HR monitor/GPS something so I can keep track of that.

Finisher towel...nice and cold.

Event comments:

I really had a great time! It was a great race for beginners and I thought it was organized. The chips and body marking could have been faster. The worst part was not having enough bathrooms. I really enjoyed my first Tri. I can't beleive I did it! Awesome!
