Run
Comments: First race over 1/2 marathon. First run over 33 km. Very happy. Started at a very slow pace, 7 minute kms, ended the last 4 km walking 10 minute km, heroic sprint to the finish. No wind, very nice, about half the path ways were cleared, the other half full of ice on the way out and slush on the way back, made things difficult, especially with sore feet to run on uneven slush or uneven turf on the side of the pathway. Excellent volunteers, great aid stations, too far apart but what can you do when 50 people run the full. What would you do differently?: Not buy new pants and new shoes the week before. Have some sort of hydrations system. only drank at the two aid stations on the way out, not enough. Grabbed a bottle for the way back but a hassle to carry. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: new pants Last updated: 2008-02-18 12:00 AM
