my knees and hips were already sore before running from working on our basement slab all week.. so, the run just made them VERY sore.
What would you do differently?:
cold & windy... so i wore a hoody sweatshirt, but had to come out of it starting up the hills into iroquouis park. had to undo the ipod strap, tore my race bib through the pins on my belt, etc, etc, so i wasted a minute or two getting squared away...
waited in the cold wind, wet clothes, for kristy to finish inside the stadium. pizza, panera bread & gatorade.
What limited your ability to perform faster:
hernia surgery 5 weeks ago and any lack of run training this year.

waffles, milk, OJ. took the kids to the DiSalvo's.
kristy & i walked from the south end of the truck parking lot to the race start. the race started as we were walking over the train track bridge by the stadium. six + minutes on the clock timer by the time we got across the start mats.
