Comments: My first open water swim! Slow, and drifted to the right (the side I breath on). No problems with endurance - felt good and in control the whole way. What would you do differently?: Alternate breathing sides, pick up speed considerably. Transition 1
Comments: Hard time clipping in - pedals were wet! What would you do differently?: Clip shoes in beforehand and run to exit in socks/bare feet. Bike
Comments: Got cramps towards end from drinking ~ 20oz of water. Transition 2
Comments: Hard time getting left foot out - almost bit it at the tranistion point. What would you do differently?: Get feet out of shoes earlier in the ride. Run
Comments: Severe stomach cramps on right side from drinking fluids on bike. Took 4 miles to work out, then felt great for last 2.2 miles. What would you do differently?: Drink less on bike, or drink more early, and allow stomach to empty. Drink from bottles on run, not cups. Post race
Warm down: Walk around, stretch, drink lots of fluids What limited your ability to perform faster: General poor swimming ability Severe stomach cramps on right side, under ribs Aside from those issues, I felt great, and not too wiped at the end. Could have run another 10K at the finish (a little slower, however). Event comments: Great job by police w/ traffic!
