Pre-race routine:

After having gotten very little sleep thanks to a teething 17 month old and crawling out of bed I managed to make it to the kitchen and start hydrating with a watered down E-Load. I was hoping all the kids would stay asleep till I left for the run so I could RELAX a bit. Alas that was but a pipe dream and I had all three of the little critters nipping at my heels before I left.
Event warmup:

Warm up consisted of a few stretches and chatting. Not very invigorating. lol

Comments:

Overall the run went pretty well, despite some seriously painful tendonitis along the tops of my feet. ( Dh had been in Russia for six weeks prior to race day so except for the last week my recent training was on my treadmill which led to a bit of a painful run for the last 5Km.)
What would you do differently?:

Hire a nanny to watch the kids so I could run at my leisure outside. LOL
Post race
Warm down:

OK, so the best part of the day was getting a big high five from all the kids at the finish line, then taking off my runners and heading over to stand in the lake. Nice !!!!! Skaha lake is a bit chilly in mid MAy, but it felt fantastic.

Event comments:

Overall this was a great race. It was a well run and organized event.
