Pre-race routine:

woke up at 330am as race was scheduled for 630am. did some streching and drank 1/2 bottle gatorade and 1/2 bottle water.
Event warmup:

swam 200 m prior to beginning of swim leg

couldn't swim properly. kept cathing people in front of me even when i was swimming below my strokes. even using breast stroke, it didnt help either. at one point, i just swam in between 2 people to get psased them and gain position
What would you do differently?:

push to start in front rather than waiting for people and strating from the back

couldnt get my shoes to clip on during mount up. lost alot of time. way too many things to do during transition to bike.
What would you do differently?:

have to buy a tri suit so i dont have to worry about putting on a top and bike shorts. try to relax as i mount up on the bike to get the shoes to lock on the pedals faster.

learn how to ride with feet on top of shoes near the dismount point.

didnt want to push any harder since hr was not falling below 150. weird since i train with keeping hr below 138 during my runs. at one point, i thought i wont be able to run the whole thing but I DID!!!
What would you do differently?:

run my own pace and push when i get a chance

walked for about 5 minutes and kept hydrating with water and gatorade

What limited your ability to perform faster:

transitions and swimming leg.. in time as i get more experience i should be fine
