Run
Comments: Crowds were slow and full of strollers and SLOW walkers. Dylan led the way through the maze. (I told BEAR if we had thread, we could have woven a bearutiful quilt through the city!) I ran the first mile, as much as I could. Good pace going into mile 2, thought I was going to PR this year. BEAR and the twins passed me up. The weather was cool and pleasent. A little while later I felt a tug on my side. It was Dakota......his knee hurt. He whined and complained throughout the next 3 miles. I stopped around mile 3 and bought a bottle of red gatorade, but Mr. Contrary refused to drink a sip. He apparently isn't a morning person......he didn't want water or the devil hot dog at mile 4. He grumbled his way to the finish line. What would you do differently?: Make Dakota train for morning runs and a better attitude. Post race
Warm down: Went get some smoothies, walked to get chips, they were out, so we left. Went to the car and ate chocolate Oreos instead. We passed through the F section of the stadium, but didn't see anyone we knew. Sorry we missed you Jeremy. What limited your ability to perform faster: DAKOTA, DAKOTA, DAKOTA!!!! Event comments: Crowded race, but fun-even with a Grumpy Dakota!!! (Laurie, Derek, and the rest of the BT gang we missed you all!) This is poor, dejected Dakota at the finish line. BEAR says "Suck it up, Dakota cup!" Last updated: 2008-03-22 12:00 AM

Up early, got everyone ready, went to the race and found a parking spot. Met a few people we knew waiting for and riding the bus into town.
Walked around, played with a black pug, went to the Mighty Mississippi to wash my hands. Don't know what was dirtier, the pug or the River.....Porty potty shuffle. Saw the Tri Cajun Group. :):):)
