Swim
Comments: first 200 yards I was having trouble finding a good breathing pattern and was really having a hard time getting started. Then it dawned on me that i had just swam liek 2000+ yards earlier in the week and need to do what I do when im in the pool. Finally found my stroke and breath. kept head down and rocked the rest of the swim. What would you do differently?: I dont know that I would do much different other than go a little bit harder. Transition 1
Comments: Dont know why this took so long. Last year my longest T time was 2 minutes. Guess I was having trouble with the zipper on my dress. What would you do differently?: Practicce more Bike
Comments: Everyting went well up until mile 4 and a hill kicked my ass. It didnt seem to be a long hill but it realy wiped me out. I tried to keep a steady cadence. Im not sue if I drank some lake water or the NUUN drink i was sipping on was making me sick but mile 9 I was starting to feel alittle pukie (is that a word). never hurled but it did cause me to back off abit. What would you do differently?: Practice more hill repeats and rid emore in general Transition 2
Comments: Got into T 2 and figured the new guy to my right evidently needed more space as he racked his bike ontop of my gear. It a few seconds to move his crap and rack my bike and stuff. Had sock tuned so I could slip right into them. What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: Started at a good pace and with rubber legs. I had only done one brick since last year so my body was not really used to running off the bike but quickly adapted. I felt real strong until about mile 1.7 The ITB started to flair up so in an attempt to save it for the rest of the run and avoid walking half the course I seed walked the 2 hills that were on the main road. In the past I have noticed hills make it get alot worse. Made it to the turnaround and lengthend my stride abit and that seemed to also help the ITB, Sucked it up and finished strong What would you do differently?: Get a running coach!!!! Post race
Warm down: BEER! What limited your ability to perform faster: ITB and Mental capaity to push harder in fear of giving to much in one discpline and not being able to complete the next Event comments: I was pissed when I pulled up in the moring and some fat park ranger was collecting 3$ to park. Granted its just 3$ but I have never ever been to a race where they make the participants pay to Park. What the heck did my race fee go to? The shirt that is 2 sizes to small or the quarter peice of bagel I got to eat at the end of the race. Anyway...... Last updated: 2008-04-15 12:00 AM

Got a room in carrolton to avid the long drive. Ate a crappy diner and had a beer.
Did'nt sleep well at all. I was either sweating really bad or freeezing so I wa up every hour. Throat was alittle sore when I got up from the air running all night. No big deal though, some coffee and breakfast helped.
2 cups coffee and a half bagel followed up by a Labara bar 20 minutes before the race.
Set up gear walked and stetched some.
