Pre-race routine:

There was no real race routine. Woke up, drank coffee, ate a banana, drove 2 hours.
Run
  • 63m 2s
  • 5 miles
  • 12m 37s  min/mile
Comments:

I think I ran well. I had estimated my finish time at 56 minutes but I certainly didn't factor in running on the snow. It was very difficult to find my footing on the snow. Others (probably locals) seemed to do rather well at running on this surface. Anytime there was actual ground on the sides of the course available to run on I did so.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I'm ok with the outcome. I would have been more aggressive on the run perhaps. It was only 5 miles. I probably should have pushed it A LOT more.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate some pasta and then drove 2 hours back.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

6-12" of snow

Event comments:

This is a fun trail run. I would do it again.

Performance: Average
Course: The course wasn't as hilly as I had expected it to be since everything else seems to be so hilly in New Hampshire. There were about 5 or 6 stream crossings which were about waiste high and 6-12" of packed snow on the ground.
