It was freezing waiting for all the waves to go ahead of me.
What would you do differently?:

I wouldn't sign up as a novice so I wouldn't have to wait so long to start. The mental part of being the very last start of the race is difficult to deal with during the whole race.

I forgot to reset my computer so it was difficult to know where I was in the course. Dumb mistake

Actually ride the course before hand if possible.

There were so many people it was hard to get through. Not much you can do about that.

Event comments:

Even though there were not a lot of first timers, it was a good race to start in. Easy courses and a with-the-tide swim to make you feel fast! (Note the swim times include a 400 yd waddle/dash over a dock, through a parking lot, across the main road and winding through the T zone).
