Swim
Comments: I should have seede myself faster. I passed 8+ people in the swim. Some swimmers that were seeded way ahead of me should have been back with me. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: I might try clipping shoes on pedals first and just slip socks on in transition. I would need to practice that. Bike
Comments: Felt strong and happy I was able to push my pace. Early stages had very few other riders to "pursue" to help me increase my pace. At about mile 9 or 10 another rider passed me but I was able to stay with him the rest of the ride. We traded back and forth a few times to the finish. Good way to step it up the last 5 miles. Overall satisfied with my pace. Transition 2
Comments: Too slow of a transition. What would you do differently?: un-strap shoes before hopping off bike. Run
Comments: It took me longer than normal to loosen up after biking and get into my normal pace stride. Post race
Warm down: walking around and a little stretching. Lots of water. Event comments: Bike route was not very smooth. Many potholes and hard bumps. Refreshments were meager. Having two transition areas was not optimal. They announced that the pool would be open after the race and it wasn't. Not too many people were happy to lay their bikes down on the asphalt parking lot in T2. Last updated: 2008-06-23 12:00 AM

Ate bagel, strawberries, OJ, and water for breakfast.
After transition set-up ate small Cliff bar.
Stretched legs and shoulders. Swam 100 meters right before start of race. Swim time seeded me 288 and it was 50 minutes before I got in the water. Next time I won't bother with a swim warm-up.
