Pre-race routine:

not to much had a cliff bar and 2 scoops of Perptuim and a shot of pre race
Event warmup:

nothing but listing to some jams by Beastie Boys, Poison, Bon Jovi, Rob Zombie
and got the bike ready.

much better than i thought it would have been. first lap i had to deal with one guy i just couldnt get away from him cause he was all over the place. second lap was great and easy i did really good, i thought it was gonna be a faster lap but was slower by 2 min.
What would you do differently?:

nothing really, i was worried about the water temp and everyone wearing wetsuits but the skin was all i needed once in the water

took my time in changing tent, stripped everything off and put on bike shorts. i was in no big hurry just wanted to make sure i had everything. the changing tent was nice cause there was a little rain overnight and that morning but keeping everthing in the bike bag it all stayed dry.
What would you do differently?:

they only thing i think i would do is go ahead and swim in the shorts im gonna ride in, the dry ones were just to hard to pull up over my wet butt.

this was a first cause after you jumped off bike they took it from me so i didnt have to rack it. just passed it on and went grabbed my bag and off to the changing tent

maybe run to the tent thats it

i hated looking at the lake cause you knew right where you were and could see the start/ finish the whole time. really im just shocked i pulled it off as well as i did and kept things together as well as i did
What would you do differently?:

did drink a bit to much, had that sloshing feeling for a long time

Warm down:

nothing just grabbed all my stuff and took off for the shower and planned on going back to watch others but never made it. things got way to tight for me to move much

What limited your ability to perform faster:

i think it was mostly my time in T1 and T2 plus stopping at special needs on bike to refill things i could have planned it better. running in t1-t2 cause i walked both times all the way in and out

verry happy with the outcome and i cant wait to do it again.

i had kept my HR for all 3 at swim start it was 88 and the days avg. was 122 and max was 149. i put in strong wind cause it was always in our face no matter how we turned , very few times we had a tail wind
