Pre-race routine:

Made it to the race venue by 6:30AM. Ate a packet of dry instant oatmeal and sucked on Gatorade Endurance. Hit the port-o-potties and watched the waves ahead of me go off. This race actually started on-time.

This was my first attempt at racing without socks. Went very well. About 9 miles into the bike the skies opened up with a FURY! It poured cats and dogs. Typical FL whiteout conditions. A bit scary... but I don't think I realize just how dangerous all of that water was!

Need to run more! Was not happy with the 'slower' run pace compared with the Danskin.

Not sure about the accuracy of the bike split. The timing mat went haywire and T2 was combined with the bike. I'm thinking my pace was more around 18.5 mph or so.
