Comments:

I was aiming for 45 minutes, would have been pleased with 46, so I'm pumped that I ran under 45 in my first race! Pretty much everything went to plan or better. Temperature was perfect - wore a t-shirt. Any colder would have required long sleeves & 10 degrees warmer would have left me feeling hot.
What would you do differently?:

I'd train for a faster race pace - running with someone faster pushed me (I train alone) and I pulled off at 7:10 pace even though I was training for a goal race pace of 7:30. Wish I'd trained for 7:10 - probably would have gone faster!
Post race
Warm down:

ate fruit, cookie & drank water & choc milk; walked a bit, but got distracted by people - could have walked more to warm down, but felt fine

What limited your ability to perform faster:

could have trained even harder/ for faster pace

Event comments:

Loved the race. Being my first (other than a couple tri's) I don't have much to compare it to. Very friendly racers and volunteers. Post race food was good - loved that they had chocolate milk! Would have been cool to have some goodies from sponsors in the race packet. Probably standard for races, but I liked seeing very up to date race results posted. It was cool that we got shirts - if it was a dri-fit I'd wear it more. Overall great race.
