Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 3:30am, after only 4hrs of sleep. Had Eggs, a muffin, toast and apple juice. Drank some Propel on the way there.
Event warmup:

Stretched, light jog to starting line, plus jumping the gate to the starting line!!

Comments:

Run was great until about mile 9-10, then my legs became very numb and weak. I stopped to stretch many times but it didn't help. Mile 11-13.1 were absolutely horrible. I was really pushing myself to my limits. We kept a nice and steady pace until the end where I had almost collapsed.
What would you do differently?:

Concentrated on doing longer runs and worked on pacing myself.. Definately need to step up the pace quite a bit and limit the times stopped for a breather.
Post race
Warm down:

Did some leg stretches, grabbed a banana and some cookies and a cup of gatorade.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My legs became unbearably numb and weak later in the race and really impacted my ability to keep a good pace.It was almost as if I had to limp while I ran.

Event comments:

Great race overall except for getting to the starting line. You had to walk all the way around the back to get in the starting crowd and there was a huge line to get there just minutes before the race started. We ended up jumping the gate with a number of other people so we could get to the starting crowd. Also, there was supposed to be gatorade at the stattions along the way, but shortly into the race they had ran out. Definately sucked. Otherwise, everything was great.
