Run
Comments: I ran the pace I reset for myself since my injuries. I pulled my pace back through most of the coarse in order to achieve a negative split. My typical plan is to go out hard and screw up the end of the race but I worked hard to keep my pace in check. I set the virtual partner and it worked well. As a side note, there doesn't seem to be a single pot hole in all of Disney World but some how I managed to twist my injured ankle on the trolley tracks at the Magic Kingdom, what an idiot for not paying attention. What would you do differently?: Nothing, except to try to stay injury free in training and show up to the race a little more prepared. Post race
Warm down: Waited to get a picture of Kim crossing the finish line. After we met up we walked back through EPCOT and headed for Germany for a beer and bratwurst. I don't know if sauerkraut is good post race fuel but it sure hit the spot. What limited your ability to perform faster: Stupid injuries Event comments: Kim finished with a 4:49:05. I'm very proud of her finish even though she had troubles near the end. Last updated: 2008-10-27 12:00 AM

Woke up at 3:00 AM. The buses start rolling at 3:00 to get everyone at the start at the EPCOT parking lot. Ate peanut butter and toast with a banana. Watched ESPN to see if the Cardinals won. To my surprise they did. Then off to the buses.
Kim and I spent time chatting outside the bag check while hanging out at the family reunion area. Checked our gear bags and meandered to the start which was about a half mile away. That was a good enough warm up for us. We got to the corals 4 minutes before the start.
