Pre-race routine:

Set up the transition area. Watched the groups before me go. It was good to be able to see what to expect. Boosted my confidence a little.

Had to share a pool lane. Crashed with the other person in the pool lane around the 3rd lap. Threw me off my momentum.
What would you do differently?:

Pace myself better from the beginning. Pay more attention to the breathing and technique.

I think I hit my personal best. So can't really complain.
What would you do differently?:

Push harder a little sooner next time. Must carry at least 1 bottle with just water.

Warm down:

Walked for a few on the treadmill.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

First time event, so can't really complain much. But did learn a lot. Need to work on my breathing for swimming and better technique. Had injured my foot the week before, so although the foot was doing much better today, I was a bit cautious. So took it easy on the treadmill

Event comments:

Definitely a good race for folks dabbling with the idea of whether or not to tri.
