Pre-race routine:

Woke up 5am. Ate 1/2 double chocolate muffin, 1 instant breakfast drink, gatorade. Tried to eat some pop tart but couldn't do it. Arrived at race at 6:30. Set up transition area while listening to the race meeting announcements and walked to start.
Event warmup:

Didn't really have time for warm up. Just stretched some.

Had difficulty breathing because of the cold water. Did most of the swim with side stroke or sculling on my back.
