Swim
Comments: Not too bad of swim time wise (goal was 6:20). Caught about three good wall push offs with dolphin kicks. I was passed my three or four individuals at first, but was able to pass one on the last 100. I felt a little winded in the middle of the swim, but once I began thinking about form and such I forgot that. Pretty good hip rotation and high elbow. Need to remember to catch with my forearm and to puch through to my hips instead of doing the funky little "S" thing I was taught so long ago. What would you do differently?: Warm up in the pool before hand. Transition 1
Comments: Was glad I spent the extra time to put on my leg and arm warmers. I rolled them up the night before so they went on very easily. I did look slightly like I was from Flash Dance or Fame. What would you do differently?: Not much on this one. Bike
Comments: The first loop was a little slow around 24-25. The second loop I flew through, 22 approx. The hills on Bear Creek were no problem this year. The course was some what wet but it did not seem to hurt the performance any. Though I did take it more cautious. What would you do differently?: Spend a little more time in aero. Transition 2
Comments: Excelletn! Unclipped before reach the dismount line. Ran the bike into T2, easily racked and threw off by biking gear. Running shoes went on easily and off I was. What would you do differently?: Nothing this time. Run
Comments: I walked much more than I wanted to, but when I did run the pace was fast! What would you do differently?: Do my bricks as prescribed. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: The weather. No control over that. Last updated: 2008-12-21 12:00 AM

Woke up @ 0500, popped in my contacts and got dressed. Ate a PB sandwhich and loaded up the car. Headed out around 0600. Got to the venue @ 0610 and was able to park within 100yds of transition.
Took out my bike and aired up the tires, after which the Preston valvue popped out of the air pump and hit me in the cheek. The tire went flat. YIKES! Thank goodness the Mad Duck truck had just pulled up and they were able to have me going in 10 minutes.
I was already bodymarked from packet pickup so I was able to skip that part. Found my rack space, some were already there so I had to rack up in the middle of the three. Layed out my wares and headed into the pool for a look see and to pick up my chip.
Did a dry run through from swim exit to my T area.
Some light stretching before the swim.
