Pre-race routine:

I stayed down in Peachtree City and only had a short ride to the site. Parking was easy since I got there early. Just a short ride down to the site from the car and into the transition area. The place got pretty crowded when everyone arrived. I had my normal Powerbar and gel for some breakfast and took in a couple of bottles of water.
Event warmup:

Just some stretching and walking around to stay loose.
Swim
  • 13m 14s
  • 483 meters
  • 02m 44s / 100 meters
What would you do differently?:

Train swimming in a pool filled with skrunchies.
Transition 1
  • 02m 44s
Comments:

I still feel the need to wear socks so my T1 time is not going to be as fast at this point.
Bike
  • 50m 37s
  • 13.2 miles
  • 15.65 mile/hr
Comments:

I don't think I could have had a better course for me. It wasn't too hilly and allowed me to do my fastest average time to date.
Transition 2
  • 02m 8s
Comments:

I didn't bring my belt so I pinned it onto my shirt I like to run in. That wasn't too difficult and I'm not sure it didn't save some time.
Run
  • 44m 6s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 14m 11s  min/mile
Comments:

I finally beat someone in my group in the run. They must have been lost on the course or on crutches! It was a good run for me but I did have to walk too much in the beginning. My finish was very good for me. I can't wait to run an entire course. That out to bring down my time.
What would you do differently?:

Build up my run conditioning so I didn't have to walk so much. That will be different this year.
Post race
Warm down:

I finished so late all of the food was gone so I went to the NAMC tent and ate some of the goodies. It sure is great having a good group of friends always there to support you. They sure to make a lot of sound with those cowbells.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weight

Event comments:

I think this will be on my schedule each year.
