Swim
Comments: The water was sooo warm, and shallow. The point at which we were told to start swimming was at about our knees. lol There was a ton of chop so it made for a tough swim. I swallowed a lot of lake as I kept turning to breath into the waves. Duhhh. I got really hemmed in for the first bit, but suddenly found myself with clear water, could this be because I also did a ton of zig zagging and found myself at one point bearing down on a kayaker about 20 feet outside of everyone else. Overall was pretty happy with the time, with all the waves I was expecting a longer swim. What would you do differently?: Site a bit more often. Transition 1
Comments: My suit stuck on my timing chip, but other than that it was a pretty good change. Bike
Comments: I felt really good on the ride despite some technical difficulties. I had to stop once because my rear brake pads were rubbing the rim and then I lost my chain and had trouble getting it back on. I'm not sure how much time I lost total, but it was a pain and I was covered in chain lube. Yuck Transition 2
Comments: Fairly good change, but I forgot my dextrose which I think hurt my run. Run
Comments: It's a shame that I really do love to run, 'cause boy do I suck at it. I felt like I was going backwards. lol Just smile and wave as I get passed ~ ALOT. :) oh well, I did my best. It was already getting hot by mid run and my body doesn't do well in the heat. What would you do differently?: NOt too much, I think I pushed my body as much as I could without ending up not finishing at all. Post race
Warm down: Headed straight for transition ~ and my dextrose tabs as I felt like I was going to pass out. Toss up between the med tent or transition, but I figured I could make it. I felt instantly better once I'd taken one. Really wish I hadn't forgotten them. I may not have been any faster, but I might not have felt like I was going to pass out for the last 2 km. What limited your ability to perform faster: My body !!! Event comments: This is such an excellently run race. Tons of voluteers, aid stations etc. Buffet lunch was better than I remembered the last year and I won a shirt. YAY Last updated: 2009-01-26 12:00 AM

Nothing to exciting, usual bagel, cereal. I was feeling soo tired as we'd been up late the last few days.
Again, nothing of note. just a few stretches ans watching the elite types swim.
