Pre-race routine:

Not much of a warm up....just rushing up and down Michigan Ave trying to find my sister and her friends. Stretched a little and went at it.

Comments:

My sister's pace is a little too quick for me...even when she's pushing my nephew! I laid back for the first 2 miles, but was able to pick it up and finish the race strong (for me).
What would you do differently?:

I still have a long way to go for where I want to be at the start of the tri season...the run is my LEAST favorite of the 3 diciplines. But, if felt good for the final 2 miles and that was encouraging.

Warm down:

Stretched, took some photo's with my group and made our way to the bar!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I really need to warm up...run half a mile or something to get the blood flowing and the legs moving. The first 1.5 miles sucked, but I felt good for the rest of the race.

Course: Start was at the old train station....we ran down Michigan Ave to Campus Martius Park, around the ice rink and back. Good, flat course with lots of sun and shade...and spectators getting ready for the St. Patricks Day parade!
