Swim
Comments: I decided to wear the speedsuit due to the short distance. It helps but but not like a wetsuit. Swim was uneventful. I was only hit twice and that was on my feet rounding the bouy. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: T1 and T2 times were included in the bike split. I've had so-so T1s in my past 3 tris. This was alot better. Speedsuit was easy to remove so that helped. No problems getting the shoes and helmet on. Very happy with this T1. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: I did Eagleman the week before and I really felt it the 1st loop. There was nice headwind on Rt. 71 which did not help either. 2nd loop was better but the energy was lacking. A little disappointed but what can you do? What would you do differently?: Nothing really. Transition 2
Comments: Another fast T. No problems. Run
Comments: I think the course is around 2.9 b/c I was able to go under 19 for the 2nd straight year. I was surprised I did b/c I felt very comfortable and had a good push at the end. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Cheered the rest of Tri-DE peeps in and drank a beer. What limited your ability to perform faster: Doing a HIM the week before. I was almost 2 minutes slower than last year. There was not as much competition than last year as I came in 36th this year but in the 50s last year and I did 1:18. Event comments: A great low key race. Perfect for 1st timers.
