Comments: I had problems with coming out of flip turns the wrong direction and feel I lost a lot of time trying to realign my body. I took it a little too slow, reserving energy for the bike. I could've/should've picked it up a bit. The chip timers started and ended out of water, so again I feel I lost time there, not knowing. What would you do differently?: I would have practiced in the pool before hand and probably done no flip turns. I would have picked up my pace a bit--I had trained harder than this and could have done it! Transition 1
Comments: Such a slow transition!! I felt like I was in slow motion, and wasn't sure if I had everything I needed!! (I had one minute to set up my transition area--a major problem in my preparedness for the race!!) What would you do differently?: I would have had helmet ready/open on bike with gloves and sunglasses... and I just needed to MOVE! Bike
Comments: I felt good with my bike--the hills were hard work, but nothing I hadn't prepared for. My glutes and hamstrings were tired. I was frustrated a few times by other cyclists cutting me off/hogging the turn so I had to put my brakes on (twice!!) What would you do differently?: Be more confident Transition 2
