Swim
Comments: 8th out of 20 in age group 158 ave. HR What would you do differently?: I need to tuck my wet suit string in or do something with it. It kept getting wrapped around my arms and driving me crazy. Transition 1
Comments: swim cap got stuck to my head since I am almost bald. What would you do differently?: Leave a little more hair on my head on race days. Bike
Comments: I had 17.2 on my bike computer for distance and they said it was 18.6 so the speed is not correct. I also subtracted 20 sec from my bike time for T2. I ended up drinking more water then I planned on and had 3 sips of get/water mixture. You had to watch out for potholes and bad spots at times. Other then that it was a very nice bike ride. What would you do differently?: Put my race number on my bike in a different spot. It was hitting my legs and driving me crazy. Transition 2
Comments: T2 went very well like always. What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: Drank no water on the run. Legs felt just a little heavy on run. Hr was hold me back this time from going faster. Hips and knees felt 100% today. No cramping like last race. Mile splits with HR 1 7:34 164 2 7:22 167 3.1 8:01 167 175 Max. HR What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: Walking around and drinking chocolate milk. What limited your ability to perform faster: High Heart Rate. Event comments: I was very happy with the volunteers at this race. They did great and did very well making me feel safe on the bike. They stopped traffic very well and the course was marked really well. Post race food was perfect for me. They had chocolate milk. What else could you need??? :) I ended up 38 out of 308 Last updated: 2009-04-01 12:00 AM
