Run
Comments: As I said earlier, I really treated this as my weekly long run so I really did not push myself. I thought alot about my friend who lost his life to ALS, he was an avid athlete and one hell of a tennis player, he was always high on life and use to frequent europe to enjoy the alps and hang-gliding, WIll MISS YOU AXEL!!! What would you do differently?: Have more fun and bring the kids next time! Post race
Warm down: Crossed the finish, got a neat looking medal. I ran an additional mile for a cool down. Proceeded to stretch and head for the cookie tent. Yee haw!! What limited your ability to perform faster: none, I wish I was able to get a massage. Event comments: Good race, with lots of post race baked goods and goodies, brownies, bagels, cookies, sweeeeet!!!! I caught up with a few fellow members from the Harftord Track club, but I did not see any fellow BTers. It was a littel chilly post race. Can't wait for some nice warm sunny weather but then again this is Connecticut, blah, blah, blah Last updated: 2009-04-04 12:00 AM

Got up around 745am, I almost felt like not running today. I got up ate some oatmeal and had 2 cups of coffee and played with the little ones. Got in the car and enjoyed some good tunes on the way to the race.
I was going to treat this race as my weekly long run and planned on taking it easy today, after all it was for a good cause for ALS. I lost a good friend to ALS, so I am glad I participated.
Got to the site and proceeded to walk about a 1/2 mile to the Pre reg tent,
No signs to guide the way. but what do you want for 20 bucks.
Another cold in gloomy day in CT. Stretched and jogged for a 1/2 mile.
