Run
Comments: good pace througout the race. wanted to be fairly steady and no over exert myself too much. Plenty of water stations and hoses to cool off in the neighborhoods. felt like a good race based off my lack of hard run training for the month of May What would you do differently?: Pick up my pace earlier. Didnt really push it until the last mile. Probably could have pushed the last 2 and been good to shave off a couple minutes Post race
Warm down: made sure I tool in plenty of fliuds, stretching and walking around the festivities for awhile What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of training from being 3rd race in May and going on vacation the week before Event comments: Only problem I had with the race was the busing out to Saylorville Dam. They didnt start busing til around 5:15. I was there around 5:30 and didnt get on a bus til 5:55 and there were still around 1000 people waiting. There was no way all got to the start by 7. They need to get more buses or bus earlier to get people there before the start. Seemed like a poor organization for the amount of people running. Other than that it was a good run, well organized, fun people, and will do again Last updated: 2009-04-05 12:00 AM

up at 4 am, ate clif bar, banana and cup of coffee. ABout 20 oz of water and a powergel shot about 10 min before the race
not a lot of time for warm up. Got to the site around 40 minutes before race time. Got my bib, hit the bathroom (woods), got lined up around 10 to 7.
