Swim
Comments: I sucked at the swim. I need to step up my swim training substantially. This is by far my weakest discipline. What would you do differently?: Train. Transition 1
Comments: I wore my cycling jersey but I couldn't get it on quickly since it is so tight. I then struggled getting onto the bike and into my toe clips. My shorts got caught on my bike seat a little too. I'm still looking for ways to shave time off of my transition. What would you do differently?: Wear a looser shirt or no shirt at all. Practice with the toe clips. Don't get ass stuck on seat. Bike
What would you do differently?: I have been primarily doing bike commuting and not bike training. I need to get more into a training mode and on my road bike. Could have pushed harder as well. Transition 2
Comments: Went smoothly but I am really looking for a sub 1 minute T2. If I can manage to figure out how to get out of my shoes while they are on my bike, then that will help. What would you do differently?: Learn how to get out of shoes while on bike. Run
Comments: Felt really strong on the run. What would you do differently?: Not much. Post race
Warm down: None What limited your ability to perform faster: SWIMMING! I must improve my swimming performance. I felt that my bike performance could have been better. I felt a little shaky at the start of the bike. I chalk it up to the fact that I had not been on my road bike for a little bit. Also, some transition skills would have been useful. Event comments: I thought this was a good race overall. My performance could have improved but that will always be the case. I have one triathlon left this season and I will be gunning for some improvements in that one. Last updated: 2009-04-07 12:00 AM
