Event comments:

This was my first race. My goal was to finish without stopping and in under 35 minutes, both goals were accomplished. I know 5k is not very far at all, but I'm still proud of my finish. I completed the race about 8 minutes ahead of my dad, going in I thought he was going to kick my butt, so that was also a confidence boost. I'm really looking forward to more races.

Course: Very flat, only a few small hills passing under the train tracks. Lots of support at the finish, the race monitors at the turns were also cheering everyone on.
